I am a British-American chica with an academic background in archaeology & anthropology and youth justice & community safety. I am developing my photographic portfolio by working in series, with a documentary focus. I am interested in exploring how we can use photography as a tool of communication and how far it can affect us according to its presentation and engagement in different contexts.

 

I aim to situate my photographs within a living context; this includes both my own eye and experiences as a the 'subject taker' along with any associations or meanings drawn by each viewer.

 

No photograph or body of photographs in these collections should be seen as representative of a place or time; rather they represent unique moments, and simply lend to the narrative of that place or time. I wish to invite a sense of connectedness between spaces and places, people and things.
